A Little Coors Field Trivia

Opened in 1995, Coors Field quickly earned a reputation as the most hitter-friendly park in Major League Baseball. The record for the most home runs hit in a single season at park was broken twice at Coors Field, despite its unusually large outfield. The reason, it turns out, was ball density; the park has the highest elevation in the league and the air is dry up here. Dry air leads to harder balls. Harder balls mean more home runs. A huge humidor was installed in which to store the balls and now the field's home run average is in line with other ballparks in the league.
